Boondockers welcome vs harvest host free#
As a host, we have been given free BW membership until 2030 because we have hosted so many BW campers. But text messages have an alert sound that will let me know when a request comes across. I don’t know anyone that checks their email many times a day. BW always sent a text that I could immediately respond to. I do not get requests in a timely manner, and I no longer get text messages of requests from campers wanting to camp at our location.

Hopefully someone of authority will see it here! As a Boondockers Welcome host for 2 years, I am very dissatisfied with the support system now that the 2 businesses have joined. I am trying to put this post on this part of the site and cannot, so I decided to share it to your post. If you are interested in learning more about Boondockers Welcome, be sure to check out the website, follow the Boondockers Welcome Facebook page and/or Instagram account, or join the Boondockers Welcome Facebook group. We will share more details in the coming months as we work on them. Please continue using Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome as you currently do. There is nothing for you to do for now on the technology front. Doing so will allow us to invest in more product features and functions that enhance the experience for guests and hosts of both programs. In the coming months, we will be combining Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome from a backend technology standpoint. We are looking into how we can offer members of both programs more value through bundled offers, but we need a little more time to figure out the details. Grandfathered rates for both sites will continue to be honored. A current standalone Harvest Hosts membership will continue to be $99/year a current Boondockers Welcome membership will be $79/year.

If you just want to be a member of Harvest Hosts, great! If you just want to be on Boondockers Welcome, go for it! And, if you see value in being a member of both programs, that works too. Boondockers Welcome and Harvest Hosts will continue to operate as separate programs, with separate membership fees.In the meantime, here are a few notes that will hopefully answer any questions: The Harvest Hosts team is working on the details of the integration, and we will be in touch in the coming months with more updates.

Marianne and Anna have decided to step back from Boondockers to enjoy the next chapter of their lives, and they were pleased to find a partner in Harvest Hosts to be the next stewards of this community. The company was founded by mother-daughter team Marianne Edwards and Anna Maste, and they have done an amazing job building the Boondockers Welcome community over the last nine years. While Harvest Hosts connects RVers with local businesses for overnight stays, Boondockers Welcome’s 2,900+ hosts offer up their private property to the Boondockers community to camp on for one or multiple nights. Boondockers Welcome has a strong sense of community, and its members are a gracious and welcoming group. Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome will remain separate memberships, although our team is hard at work building a single platform where members of both programs can enjoy integrated functionality and receive bundled rates in the future.įor those not familiar with the name, Boondockers Welcome is an online network that connects RVers with private property owners that allow them to camp on their property at no charge, other than their gratitude. By bringing Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome together, we will be able to offer members the ability to access more than 5,000 unique boondocking locations across the two networks. Harvest Hosts is excited to announce that Boondockers Welcome is now part of the Harvest Hosts family.
